This is part of the starter blog for Transistor Basics. Check out here to see all of them.

~What you need~

  1. N-P-N Transistor( BC-547)–> 2
  2. 2 resistors (110K ohms+270 ohms)
  3. 1 LED
  4. 1 Breadboard
  5. Few breadboard connecting wires
  6. 9V Power supply
  7. 2 metallic wires.

~Circuit Diagram~

  1. Place both the transistors in breadboard (not to far).
  2. Connect base terminal of 2nd transistor to the emitter terminal of 1st
  3. Connect the +ve terminal of LED to the +ve rail of breadboard.
  4. Connect the –ve terminal of LED to the collector terminal of 2nd transistor via 270 ohms resistor.
  5. Connect the 100k ohms resistor between collector of 1st transistor and +ve rail of breadboard.
  6. Connect the emitter terminal of 2nd  transistor to the ground(-ve rail of breadboard).
  7. Connect one end of (male to female) jumper wire to the collector terminal of 1st transistor and put other end in desired place in breadboard.
  8. Connect one end of (male to male) jumper wire to the base terminal of 1st transistor and put other end in desired place in breadboard.
  9. Now insert the other end of (male to male) jumper wire to the (male to female) jumper wire, LED will start Glowing.
  10. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!.
